Other Common Windows Installer Error Problems
How do you know if you have potential critical errors?
- Obviously you may have received an actual code number like:
- Error 5: Access is denied
- 1706: No valid source could be found for product [2].
- 1911: Could not register type library for file [2]. Contact your support personnel
- 1155: File [1] not found
- 1325: ”[2]” is not a valid short file name.
- 2755: Server returned unexpected error
There are tons more... too many to list actually!
- if your computer has started slowing down, this is a good sign you have all sort sof errors and problems. Over time your registry can also become overloaded and bloated from all of the use, leaving you at risk for more serious problems.
- If you're noticing funky behaviour, or if your computer (or even devices) are giving you hit or miss performance, then I would say there is little doubt you have internal errors.
